Rather than giving up something for Lent (since it already feels as if we have given up so much already), we instead invite people to reach out to one another during Lent to build connections and relationships. As a result, our overall theme for Lent will be “Cultivating a Ministry of Presence,” exploring ways that we can be fully present to God, our Self, our Church, our Neighbor, and the World.
Church families will receive a “Lent in a Bag” resource that will be hand delivered to households so that you will have in your hands everything you need to fully participate together in this Lenten journey. The “Lent in a Bag” resource will contain weekly scriptures, reflections, and activities suitable for all ages and family groups. We will be meeting on Wednesdays at 7PM during Lent to discuss the weekly scriptures and reflections. We are super excited and look forward to your thoughts and feedback!
